Poppana is very versatile. For example, you can make durable tablemats, seat covers for sauna or picnic, cushion covers or bags that can be washed over and over again. The bias-cut poppana weft will produce a lovely chenille-like texture.

The light grey warp works well with both light and dark colours of weft. Poppana is a traditional Finnish material, which is made of bias-cut cotton ribbon. You can buy poppana weft in shops or you can make your own from old textiles. The warp has both plain weave and twill patterns, so if you want, you can spice up a plain weave project with stripes of twill.

If needed, the warp can be made narrower.
