Spinning paper yarn
Spinning or actually creating paper yarn is a fun way to recycle old silk paper, pattern tracing paper or packing paper etc. You can dye the paper or the yarn, and mix it with silk or wool.
During the course we will use spindles to create the paper yarn. We will experiment with different types of paper and produce small amounts of yarn. After the course, you will hopefully be inspired to make more paper yarn to use in knitting, crocheting, weaving and all sorts of other crafts and decoration.
The teacher will bring an assortment of papers, but you can bring your own too to try. A classic material is newspaper, but it is a tricky stuff to work with. We'll try that too.
The course is suitable for beginner spinners, as no previous spinning experience is required.
The course duration is 3 hours.
Materials Required: The teacher will bring all the necessary tools and materials but you may bring your own paper, too.
Course fee: €50
